FUTURE ARSENAL
Next-generation sovereign defense frontiers: 5th-Gen stealth fighters, carrier deck fighters, indigenous nuclear attack submarines, long-range hypersonic glide vehicles, and autonomous combat swarms.
SANCTIONED FUTURE PROGRAMMES
AMCA Mk1 / Mk2
The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) is India's flagship 5th-generation stealth multi-role fighter program sanctioned by the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) with an initial allocation of Rs 15,000 crore. Designed with an all-aspect low-observable stealth airframe, internal weapon bays, DSI serpentine air intakes, and advanced sensor fusion, AMCA will propel India into an elite echelon alongside the US, China, and Russia.
TEDBF (Naval Fighter)
The Twin Engine Deck Based Fighter (TEDBF) is an indigenous 4.5+ generation multi-role naval combat aircraft designed to operate from the ski-jump flight decks of INS Vikrant, INS Vikramaditya, and future Indian aircraft carriers. Replacing the MiG-29K fleet, TEDBF features foldable wings, heavy payload carriage, and dedicated maritime strike capabilities.
Project 75-Alpha SSN
Project 75-Alpha is the Indian Navy's classified program to construct six 6,000-tonne nuclear-powered attack submarines (SSNs). Powered by an indigenous pressurized water reactor (PWR) developed by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), these SSNs will possess virtually unlimited submerged endurance, high continuous underwater speeds (30+ knots), and heavy vertical missile launch batteries.
Project Kusha (LR-SAM)
Project Kusha is India's sovereign initiative to develop an indigenous Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LR-SAM) system rivaling the Russian S-400 Triumf and American Patriot. Sanctioned by CCS for Rs 21,700 crore, Project Kusha deploys three distinct interceptor missiles (ranges of 150 km, 250 km, and 350 km) against stealth fighters, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and AWACS aircraft.
Ghatak UCAV
Ghatak is a classified autonomous flying-wing stealth Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) developed by ADE. Powered by a modified Kaveri dry turbofan engine, Ghatak is designed for high-altitude deep-penetration precision strike, electronic reconnaissance, and suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD) in highly contested airspace.
